2009 Winners

Outstanding Commitment Awards: Energy and Climate Change

Global Health

The majority of CGI U members making commitments in the focus area of Global Health are implementing their projects in the developing world. Students are working to distribute medical and health-promoting products; fostering health education; providing outreach and training for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, malaria, and hepatitis B; building and rehabilitating hospitals and clinics; and improving access to care for communities in remote locations. Some of this year’s Outstanding Commitment Award winners also made commitments to promote the use of new technologies to improve community health care.

The following CGI U Outstanding Commitment Award winners for Global Health received grants made available by the Pat Tillman Foundation’s Social Action Fund.
