The Social Venture Challenge
At CGI U 2013, The Resolution Project presented its Social Venture Challenge and committed to provide winning social ventures with seed funding, mentorship, and other pro bono services to help get their Commitments to Action off the ground.
Below is a brief outline of the Resolution Social Venture Challenge (SVC) application process:
- CGI U 2013 students were invited to apply to the Social Venture Challenge.
- Semi-finalists were selected prior to CGI U 2013 and showcased their commitments in a semi-final round called the Social Venture Forum at CGI U.
- Finalists presented their commitments to a panel of judges at CGI U on the morning of April 6, and winners were announced that evening.
- $100,000 total in seed funding was awarded to CGI U 2013 students, providing support for 16 new CGI U Commitments to Action.
